Mixed/Open Doubles - Interested?
Let Bob know: 250-832-8700
We're still working out the details, but want to know if there is interest in Doubles Curling.
If you like the game with lots of rocks in play, you'll love Doubles! And, you just need one other person to make up your team: friend, spouse, child, or even someone you don't like very much but who throws a really good rock.
Interesting strategy - new tactics. Check out the video on defending against the power play below! Do you want a sweeper or a broom holder? Who will throw stones 1 and 5, and who will throw 2,3,4? When will you call your Power Play?
Sound confusing? It's not really. We'll have a Doubles clinic to explain rules and some tactics you might want to try.

Time for a 6 Pack?
While there's still time to register for all leagues, if you're thinking you might like to give curling a try, or if your business would like to do some team building, consider an SACC 6 Pack!
It's all about having some fun and getting a little exercise in a safe environment, without having to commit for the entire season.
The SACC 6 Pack gives you the opportunity to join our Friday Social League for 6 weeks of curling.
We're currently taking 6 Pack registrations for:
November 27, 2020 to January 22, 2021, and
February 5, 2021 to March 26, 2021.
Check out our website at www.salmonarmcurling.com or

Keep Calm Indeed!
Watch this great video on the new protocol for on ice distancing during the game. click here: salmonarmcurling.com/curling/ (Thanks, Heather Nedohin and friends.)
One "active sweeper". Avoid "pinch points"! Stay in your "travelling lane"!
Skips don't get to sweep at all. Dress warm...
Other than that, though, there isn't much difference to how we've been curling for decades. ... See MoreSee Less
The ice is coming! The ice is coming!!
Led by Head Ice Tech, Myles Chapin, a team of dedicated volunteers are busy putting in the ice as you read this!
Our cast of volunteers includes Doug Murray, Brian Puetz, Lorne Karpick, and Scott Furevick (electrical-look at those shiny lights!) Note the starry balloons – they’re adjusting the air flow by using these dancing helium balloons.
Team members Brian Puetz and Lorne Karpick are shown applying a flood to level the floor and next they apply the white paint that provides the crisp background for our houses and decals!
Make sure you give these guys a virtual high five and thank them for volunteering to be our ‘Icemen’ this season. ... See MoreSee Less
Curled Tues. am. Ice is GREAT! Thanks Bob, Myles and all others for getting us started.
Registration is live online!
We're online with "Curling IO", a system sponsored by Curling Canada and used by over 70 curling clubs and associations across Canada. Our own SACC version has been customized to present our curlers more than 40 variations of league offerings - all the old standards plus a couple of twists.
Friday Social 6 pack!
Friday Social League is just that: a 'Social League' where all ages and skill levels are welcome. A great place to start or just a great place to have fun. And this year we're offering a "6 pack" option, designed for people who can't commit to a full or half season, or for people new to curling who just want to try out our great sport in a fun social format.
More than 'just' Stick Curling, our Monday afternoon Stick League format is now open to curlers who want to throw with a slide delivery as well as stick curlers. 2 person teams; 6 ends; 2 games each day.
Adult Learn to Curl!
OK, so this isn't a new offering, but it's new to you if you haven't curled before. This is a great way to get some awesome instruction before you step into a league!
The boss man (Bob Genoway) is working on some creative ideas for weekend fun leagues and events as well as some clinics to get the season started. (Feel free to send him an email to let him know what YOU'D like to see! firstname.lastname@example.org) Stay tuned!
