Once again this year, we will institute a “lottery system” to determine classes that will be invited to book access to our program. To explain, we have limited available timeslots (we must also recruit 6 volunteers per session to facilitate a safe program). Please see the letter/invitation sent to interested teachers/schools Sept. 15, 2025. Contact our GM, Jason Chambers for further information or if you did not receive this letter.
Our program:
We host classes from Grade 4 to Grade 12 so that children can “get a taste of our sport”.
Basic skills training is provided over three 45 minute sessions per class / group.
- Class 1: Safety, Ice Orientation, Intro to sweeping and delivery, Throw a rock!
- Class 2: Review, Turns, Play an end
- Class 3: Play a two end game
Instruction is provided by volunteer club members.
Price: $4/student for each 45 minute session
The 2024-25 “Teachers’ welcome” letter below provides more information about your visit. Including head protection requirements (students up to and including Grade 5 must wear head protection and students to Grade 8 are strongly encouraged to do likewise).
The schedules reflect the 2024-25 season but will be updated when the booking process is concluded.
