Our club was well represented with four teams attending the 2026 B.C. Masters Combined Championship held March 25th to April 1 at the Chilliwack Curling Club. This event had 4 teams from each of the Interior (BCIMCA) and Coast Associations (PCMCA) competing in 5 categories, 60+ and 70+ Men, Women, Mixed and Stick. These teams must win the right to represent their Associations earlier in the year.
At the Provincials, Interior curlers vie for 2 trophies – BCIMCA Champion and overall winner – BC Masters Combined Curling trophy.
We had two teams which won their Combined Championships!
Skip Steve Moss reported that his Mixed Team of Donna Shultz, Doug and Linda Buchanan played very well and came out on top.
The 60+ Men’s Team of Graham Prouse, Myles Chapin, Scott Furevik, and Doug Murray won 6 and lost 1 game to also be named overall Champions.
Look at the hardware . . . pretty impressive!
