Our guys qualified through their Regional playdown to be one of the 4 teams from the Interior (BCIMCA) who went to the provincial playdowns in Vernon in late March. The format is an 8 team round robin including 4 teams from the Pacific Coast (PCMCA).
We are very proud of our BCIMCA Men’s 60+ champions who not only won the BCIMCA trophy but also went on to win it all . . . the Combined (overall champion)! Hence the two trophies in the photo.
To explain the process: in 2025, teams from the Interior will play here in Salmon Arm, Feb 1 & 2, 2025 to chose 4 teams to represent the Interior at the Provincials. At the Provincials, they play a full round robin which includes 4 teams from the Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association (PCMCA).
At the Provincials, Interior curlers will vie for 2 trophies – BCIMCA Champion and overall winner – BC Masters Combined Curling trophy.
This is not to be confused with Curl BC’s 60+ Masters. BCIMCA’s other divisions include 60+ Mixed, 60+ Ladies and 70+ Men’s.
