February 15, 2020

Update:

Once again, it was a full house as 24 teams participated in the SACC Junior Bonspiel, Feb 15-16.  So much fun, good food (Domino’s pizza supper, pulled pork for adults) and door prizes, door prizes, door prizes for all.

Our heartfelt thanks to our Sponsors . . . we can’t do it without YOU!

Winners of the Dave Belway Sr Memorial Trophy 2020 was the Hannah Rempel team from Kelowna.  Good luck at the upcoming BC Winter Games!!

Signage helped guide 96 kids, their families and spectators to sort their food scraps (feed the chickens!), soft/hard plastic, paper and cardboard, as well as compost items (any paper plates, napkins, paper coffee cups, pizza boxes that had touched food).  The Challenge: to eliminate  compost and recyclables from unnecessarily going to Landfill.  One bag of garbage over 2 days?  Success!!

The smiles and laughter during the bonspiel . . . Success!  Thank you to the families of the SACC Junior Program for all your help.
