All curling in the Monday Open League came to a dead halt . . . it was the top of the ninth . . . George Springer has put the Blue Jays ahead 4-3 in the bottom of the 7th driving in Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Addison Barger. It’s the do-or-die game #7 against the Seattle Mariners. Could they hold on? Jeff Hoffman pitching . . .
It was like a fire drill, curlers turned and outright left the ice and gathered around the lobby TV, biting nails, pacing, alternatively groaning and cheering with every pitch, 8 other curlers have stopped their game and are standing behind the glass on sheet #3 cheering for OUR Canadian team!
Not a great photo but it was not easy trying capture the moment that the club erupts in cheers – upstairs and down when Jays pitcher Jeff Hoffman strikes out the third and last batter!
GO JAYS GO!!
