These young people love to play the game and as we know, curling begins with a handshake and ends with a handshake. However, these young athletes take it one step further . . . they share in the joy of the victors regardless of who they may be.
How many curlers do you know who can play the game with such joy?
Our Salmon Arm Special Olympians have played and practiced weekly at our club since 2019! Their only slowdown was a forced break during Covid. They next compete when they travel to Kelowna, January 25th (Special Olympics Kelowna Invitational Bonspiel) and Vernon, March 2 (Special Olympics Vernon Invitational Bonspiel).
