November 11, 2022

Congratulations to the winners:  Dean Joanisse, Grant Dezura, Brendan Willis, Dave Stephenson from Maple Ridge. Runner-up was the Sean Geall rink with Brad Wood and Mitchell Kopytko.  (Missing due to illness was Darin Gerow.)  Other qualifiers:  Mark Longworth (Vernon) and Rob Nobert (Kelowna).

Thank you so much to our tremendous sponsor Twin Anchors!!  They enabled us to watch some world class teams right here at home.  The Salmon Arm Curling Club hosted 8 men’s competitive teams.  (For linescores and Youtube feeds, see links near the bottom of  the page.)

There was no admission charge and many came to watch November 11, 12 and 13th.  The complete draw (PDF) is at the bottom of this page for both men’s and Tier 2 event.

Thank you to all 8 teams for a very entertaining weekend of curling.   BC Tour Teams Chris Medford (Cranbrook), Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge), Mark Longworth (Vernon), Rob Nobert (Kelowna) and local sensations Sean Geall (former BC champ with our own Darin Gerow), Dave Belway (with our own Dave Long) as well as Brad Case (Enderby).  The eighth team had plenty of supporters.  Junior team, Blaeser, had 2022 BC High School Champs Kaiden & Nolan Beck from Salmon Arm supporting him.

We also hosted a Tier 2 Event (round robin) at the same time.  Sponsored by J’s Pumps & Plumbing, the Hannah Rempel Junior Women’s team from Kelowna played.  This young team is BC’s representative at the Canada Winter Games in PEI in February and needed this opportunity to get some game time together (Hannah goes to UBC in Vancouver). We wish the girls luck and all the best in Summerside, PEI.  Go Team BC Go!

Congratulations to Team Beck and Runner-up Team Jaeger.
